Whenever a user wants to user the sponsored call service he will have to dial a specific set of numbers along with the long number. Both the caller and the call receiver will listen to a advertisement jingle before the call is patched.

This service provides the advertisers with the opportunity to promote their products to the customers.

To get this facility the user will have to add a prefix IVR x before the number he wants to send a sponsored SMS to. In case of a sponsored SMS the user will have certain character limitation; because certain characters will be preoccupied where the sponsor’s message will be added. Since a sponsored message is attached to the SMS, The SMS user will be exposed to the SMS as well as the sponsored message.

VAS SMS and IVR:

There are various value added services the subscribers can access everyday over SMS and IVR. The example of such services can be news, sports update, horoscope, current market price, stock market update. These services can also be used as an advertising channel; a short advertisement can be added before these value added services.

The advertisers can choose the specific service channels before which their advertisements will be tagged. As a result this provides them the opportunity to offer their products to the segments they want to cater to. Since there is a significant customer base for the Value Added services it provides the advertisers to expose themselves to a wide customer base.
